Description:
The 23NG23 power supply provides +5 V DC (U1) and +24 V DC (U2) to the RTU232 subrack. Only one version (rubric) is required.
Processing function:
The 23NG23 board occupies a fixed position in each RTU232 subrack, specifically Slot 1 and Slot 5.
The auxiliary process voltage output UP(F2) is unused within the RTU232 system and is not wired in the subrack.
Key operational notes:
The primary fuse is located on the right side of the power supply.
Green LED extinguishes when output voltage fails.
Only identical power supply units may be replaced to prevent power interruption.
Power is switched via the ON-OFF switch (S1) on the front panel.
Power output specifications:
Total output power: ≈41.8 W, distributed as:
+5 V at 5000 mA = 25 W
+24 V at 700 mA = 16.8 W
► Use Table 1 to calculate the total load for subrack configuration.
Critical load requirement:
A minimum 232 mA base load on +5 V DC is essential to regulate the 24 V DC within the specified technical data range.
When no load or insufficient load is drawn from the +5 V DC circuit, the 24 V DC will drop below the defined tolerance range without warning.
